Heart failure is a serious condition in which your heart can’t pump enough blood to meet your body’s needs – causing fatigue, shortness of breath, and swelling in the legs and ankles. For some, their heart failure causes the heart to beat out of sync, reducing the amount of blood pumped with each heartbeat. Cardiac Resynchronization Therapy (CRT) may be beneficial in these cases to improve the heart’s rhythm and improve symptoms.
However, traditional CRT does not work for everyone. In fact, 3 out of every 10 patients who receive a CRT device don’t benefit from treatment, and 2 out of every 10 patients will have issues related to the wires in these devices.
If you still struggle with heart failure symptoms despite having a pacemaker, ICD or CRT device, you may qualify for SOLVE CRT Clinical Study. The study is for the WiSE CRT System, an investigational, wireless device designed to overcome the limitations of traditional CRT devices.
The WiSE CRT System is an investigational, innovative device developed to overcome the limitations of traditional CRT in heart failure patients.
The WiSE CRT System works together with your previously implanted pacemaker, ICD or CRT device. However, unlike traditional CRT devices, the WiSE CRT System is completely wireless, using ultrasound energy to pace the heart.
With the WiSE CRT System, your current pacemaker, ICD or CRT device will pace the right side of your heart. The WiSE CRT System paces the left side at the same time to potentially improve the heart’s pumping ability and help overcome the symptoms of heart failure.
The WiSE CRT System is currently being evaluated at select treatment centers in the US, Europe, and Australia through the SOLVE CRT Clinical Study. If you qualify and choose to join the study, you may receive the WiSE CRT System and all study-related care at no cost.
